Inspired by Viking-age motives of serpents and dragons in the Urnes style.

The Vikings understood the profound power and symbolism of the dragon, which found its way onto buildings, etched into runestones, and meticulously crafted into exquisite jewelry. The dragon, or serpent, was undoubtedly a representation of strength and courage, making donning a dragon motif a symbolic embrace of these virtues. Moreover, the dragon symbol carried a talismanic aspect, believed to repel malevolent forces and offer protection. It’s no wonder this iconic emblem adorned a multitude of everyday objects, persisting even into the early Christian era in Scandinavia, exemplified in the intricate carvings gracing Norway’s stave churches at Urnes and Borgund.

This pendant is handcarved and casted, there is only one available. So it is a one of a kind item. You can choose between a dark brown or black leather cord (1,5 mm thick)  or a black cotton cord (1mm thick).

Standard adjustable cord length is 70 cm. Do you want a longer or shorter cord with your pendant? Just let me know!

Note: Bronze can leave green marks on your skin, especially when the pendant is new or when you sweat a lot. But this is not harmful for your skin.
